Gay & Lesbian issues on the union agenda - In an historic move for the trade union movement, the ASU endorsed the first Australia-wide gay & lesbian members' policy at its National Conference in November. Megan Jenner is an Industrial Organiser with the Victorian Branch of the ASU [Services & Energy Div.] & co-convenor of GLAM, the ASU gay & lesbian members' group which initiated the policy. 20 Pieces....the cost of fashion in the 1990s - "20 pieces: outworkers tell the real fashion story" is a film produced by Jocelyn & Ben Pederick for the Fairwear campaign. It documents the human cost of fashion in the 90s. 3CR's Pier Moro speaks with TCFUA Outworker Campaign Coordinator, Annie Delaney, about the film & the issues it raises for workers & consumers in the South-Asia region. Roadmark workers' occupation - 18 workers at the Roadmark road sign factory near Melbourne's Tullamarine Airport are occupying their workplace in an attempt to obtain $175,000 in holiday & severance pay owing to them after their employer apparently sold the factory's plant & equipment & flew out to New Zealand.
