Dear All,
The Kensington Community Centre is currently looking for enthusiastic and
committed volunteer ESL teachers (for our ESL Support Group) and tutors for
our Homework Support Program.
We depend on volunteers to support both programs and to ensure their
survival. Their contribution ensures that the programs are unrestricted by
formal learning outcomes and are relavent to student needs in a meaningful
way. Most importantly, our students can access the program at no charge.
The programs aims to increase the self-confidence and the practical skill
level of the individuals accessing the our service through positive group
interaction.
The volunteer positions available offer a wonderful opportunity for anyone
who is committed to the concept of equity through education and possesses a
strong sense of community.
The program is in need of assistance and any support will be greatly
appriciated.
