I would like to invite you to my up-coming exhibition 'After Dili Action'.
The opening is on Wednesday 5 April 6-8pm. The exhibition runs until 15
April.
The exhibition is at the artist-run gallery West Space, 1st floor, 15-19
Anthony Street, Melbourne. (Opening hours 12noon-6pm Wed.-Fri, 11am-5pm
Sat.).
In August 1998 I travelled to East Timor to work with East Timorese
campaigning for independence in the lead up to the UN Ballot.
During my stay I performed an action in Dili, using archival material from
WWII and drawing on the complex connections between East Timor, Australia,
and Western colonialism.
The exhibition, 'After Dili Action' presents drawings and documents from
this action.
