Hi there,
A steady flow of Melbourne Uni students from Uni students for East Timor (USET)
will be going to East Timor over the semester break to help out at the Student
Resource Centre in Dili. The centre has been set up by East Timorese students
from ETSSC (East Timor Student Solidarity Council) in response to the lack of
UN/CNRT commitment to urgently re-establishing a university. There are
already 7
Melbourne students helping the students in Dili for most of this year, teaching
English & computer skills.

The East Timorese students desperately need Indonesian/English and
English/Indonesian dictionaries to help them in their studies. If you have any
old Indonesian dictionaries or text/workbooks, please consider donating them to
a good cause!

Call Penny/Ben at the Farrago office at Melboure uni (8344-4810 or 8344-6857),
or Miranda/Keren in the Education Office (8344-4808). People are leaving for
Timor as early as Monday... Thanks!
