The Merri Creek runs from the north of Melbourne to join the Yarra River at
Collingwood.
Friends of Merri Creek is a community group which works to preserve and
restore the natural beauty of this waterway.
On Sunday 18 June there is a working bee at Sumner Park Northcote (Melways
ref: 30 C8).
Come along and help with planting this new wetlands area in the retarding
basin behind the bliestone laneway off Sumner Avenue over the levee bank
from the playground at Merri park Northcote. Afterwards enjoy a BBQ. For
