CAMPAIGNS CAFE

Come and join us for an evening of stimulating discussion over a delicious
meal or a drink

Thursday 26th April, 6.30pm
Sub Terrain Vegetarian Cafe
167 St Georges Road,
North Fitzroy

As part of our campaign on the Asian Development Bank, representatives of
two of Oxfam Community Aid Abroad's partner organisations in Sri Lanka will
be speaking about the impact of multilateral development banks and their
development approach, on the rights and livelihoods of poor, rural
communities. Is this sort of development really helping the poor?

Sarath Fernando,
Movement for Land & Agricultural Reform (MOLNAR) will give an overview of
the macro policy issues, particularly the impact of debt and the policies
of the IMF on Sri Lanka's poor.

Suranjan Kodithuwakku,
Green Movement of Sri Lanka will speak about specific projects being funded
by the Asian Development Bank, and the consequences for local communities
and environments.

Drinks, coffee and fantastic vegetarian light meals will be available for
purchase. Sub Terrain is a licensed bar.
