having signed the Hebron Protocol and would not have done so under
circumstances like the present.=20
Netanyahu, commenting during a visit to the right-wing pirate radio channel
"Arutz Sheva," said if he were in office today, he would re-conquer areas i=
n
Hebron under Palestinian control, because the Palestinians failed to live
up to he agreements.=20
He said the Oslo process is dead: "Arafat buried it. We are no longer oblig=
ed
by any part of Oslo. Arafat violated the core of the agreement. He is now h=
ead
of the world's largest terrorist organization."
Netanyahu also criticized the government's policy of restraint. "A policy o=
f
restraint rather than of resolute response paves the way for deterioration.=
A
resolute response is the natural way. The world expects it, the people of
Israel expect it, and rightly so. I'm not saying there are no risks involve=
d.
But the risks of inaction are far greater."
Netanyahu said Israel could take steps to "paralyze" the Palestinian
Authority, while allowing food and medication to pass freely to the territo=
ries
