Critical Mass - a series of musical compositions, vocal recitations,
pre-recorded audio and visual projections looking at the issue of
homelessness - is being performed at St Mary's Church in South Brisbane
this weekend (Friday 27 & Sat 28 at 6.30 pm, and Sun 29 at 5 pm).
Apparently it does take the form of a contemporary Mass, but it has been
created as part of the Queensland Biennial Festival of Music. (source: The
Big Issue, ed. no. 129)

On Saturday the 4th of August there will be TripleZ benifit at the Metro

Coda - THX-1138

cheap drinks available.

Blues enthusiasts may be interested in attending the inaugural acoustic
blues guitar workshop at Samford Valley in August. Situated amongst
rainforest at the beautiful Cedar Creek Forest Retreat, you're guaranteed to
at least love the environment, even if you don't learn anything new (which
you probably will). There's plenty of information and a registration form at
http://www.cedarrain.com.au, but you can always email Al at
[EMAIL PROTECTED] if you have any questions. Get your application in soon
because places are limited.

Apparently the Sacred Harp Concert at Mapleton this weekend past was SOLD
OUT...Congratulations! Yet to hear how the Kenilworth Workshops went, Look
out for FluroFunction at an Art Jam near you.....more next week!
