Dear Friends,
A group has been meeting on Thursday afternoons at Trades Hall to discuss
the civil liberties implications on the war against terrorism.
One of the issues that has not been receiving much publicity is the use of
the attacks on New York to usher in a range of measures which attack
Australians' civil rights: this is reflective of similar moves in the US and
UK.
It was decided to hold a Public Forum on this issue at 2.00 pm on Saturday
November 17 at Trades Hall.
The Globalism Terrorism and Human Rights Public Forum will address the
erosion of civil rights and worker's rights as well as resisting racism in
the community.
