NEARLY 2000 workers, students and pensioners have joined the Socialist Alliance since it was launched by eight socialist groups just 14 months ago. The Socialist Alliance stood 15 candidates in the federal election and ran senate tickets in six states. We have already contested elections in South Australia and the Northern Territory, and we stood in the 2002 Moreland and Darebin council elections. We are a registered federal party and the only socialist party registered in NSW. But Socialist Alliance is much more. We played a big role in opposing Bush and Howard's war on Afghanistan. We are backing the refugee campaign to the hilt. We have branches across Melbourne, Geelong and interstate. -- Leftlink - Australia's Broad Left Mailing List mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archived at http://www.cat.org.au/lists/leftlink/ Sponsored by Melbourne's New International Bookshop Subscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?Body=subscribe%20leftlink Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?Body=unsubscribe%20leftlink
