I'm not sure how the cam gears bolt up to either the motor or the legacy spindle shaft. I know there was some machining involved. I'm also not sure the detail on the motor other than it's a 1/4 hp. I don't know the total rpm range. Hopefully Dave will fill me in.
As far as the rotary table goes, it's an awesome deal. I have most of the construction photos and I've been planning to show the group the entire project, but I think something was missing. I've shown bits of it in the past, this weekend I'll figure out what I'm missing. -Tim ----- Original Message ----- From: "Curtis" <curtgeo...@wowway.com> To: "Legacy Ornamental Mills" <legacy-ornamental-mills@googlegroups.com> Sent: Thursday, November 17, 2011 3:41 AM Subject: Re: Spindle Drive Modification Dusty Dave or Tim how did those calm gears mesh up with the Legacy spindle shaft? There is a matching speed controller as well. This motor is reversible and is strong enough to drive his rotary table. > > Here's some photos. > > -Tim > > spindle_drive.jpg > 86KViewDownload > > speed_control.jpg > 79KViewDownload -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Legacy Ornamental Mills" group.
