Hi Steve
Here are my thoughts on REVO versus 900, to me it is all about what length
between centres you require and the diameter of your proposed work pieces.
If you can live with 32 " and 6" diameter the REVO is excellent plus
personally I prefer the operators working position. Those are the
fundamentals as both machines can perform the same operations. I have the
original prototype REVO here in the UK and it is a great machine.

Based on my US market hearsay about reliability I would sell the Carve
Wright. Then I would look at trading in or selling your 900 with CNC and buy
an Arty 36 or 58, talk with John Hennen at Legacy to see what deals he has
if any. An alternative would be to get a Shadow 36 or 58 and add the CNC
when you are ready if funds are currently in short supply. The first Shadow
arrived on Tuesday this past week, I delivered it on Wednesday and from my
brief look it is as promised by Andy Anderson an Arty 58 with a new Router
Gantry that is a big improvement on the old Z Axis, and boy does it move
smoothly.

Regards
Roger

Subject: 900 Vs. REVO

OK folks, I would like to know what the REVO can do that the 900 can't and
what the 900 can do that the REVO can't.

I am trying to decide if I really need my 900 CNC and am considering selling
it for a Manual mill. (900/1200).

I already have a CarveWright that can do vectors and 2.5d reliefs up to
14.5" wide so I have that covered. I would lose relief carving on a spindle
but I haven't used that yet.

Thoughts? Pro's and Con's?

Thanks,

Steve
