Hi Curt
The word is that 72" should be feasible and if you or anyone was serious and
wanted one then Andy would check it out , and the cost would probably take
it up around $5,000.00 and the bad news is that for Bill in Australia it
comes in a big crate, no cardboard boxes on these models.
Cheers
Roger

Thanks Roger
Since you have seen this machine first hand, Can you tell me if there is any
way to make the unit a little longer?
I think that the pricing isn't all that bad,Its a few more dollars than the
older units, and I think I can live with that part.(you get more, you pay
more.) But I want to be able to keep my 72" tuning ability not 58" that the
shadow offers, what are the chances of making the Shadow a little bit
longer?

Hi Guys
Here are the prices for the Shadow 36 @ $3,500.00 and the Shadow 58 @
$4,200.00, and before you ask that price includes a gantry with
integral Z Axis, and linear bearings throughout.

Roger

Hello Roger
Yes I sorta figured that Birmingham England was the point of origin.
To bad! ;-( I was so hoping to go down the street and see this new toy
first hand. ;-)
So Roger May assume that the Shadow sale was one of yours?
I would bet that Shipping of something that big was a pretty penny. I
truly hope it was worth the expensive?
I am really looking forward to hearing about all the stories.about
this machine.

"Only the Shadow knows!" ;-)
(Woops!Just in case those of you did not know. The Shadow debuted on
July 31, 1930, as the mysterious narrator of the Street and Smith
radio program Detective Story Hour. .) I'm to young to remember the
original radio broadcasts, but I did lessen to the series Many decades
latter.) ;-)

Hi guys,
Alan is in Birmingham England! You know the country that years ago
exported lots of people to the USA and the criminals to Australia
(just joking Bill). Now like people everywhere they decided to name
many of the new towns after their old home towns. Even the Germans
did it and so did the French in Canada except that not only did the
French use the town names but they also kept their own language! I
have just remembered why the French kept their language they got there
before we did but General Wolfe sorted the place out and made it into
a colony.

Enough history and I look forward to seeing what Alan makes when I am
passing through Birmingham.
Cheers
Roger

Birmingham Alabama if not too far from me. I am interested in seeing
the shadow as well. What is it's size, what features, what was the
final
cost?

Thanks,

Steve

Hello Alan.
Welcome to the group.
I too am looking forward to hearing, all about your shadow adventures.
(It sounds like a spy mystery doesn't it?) ;-)

Where do you live? Birmingham is a name quite often used in the
States, There is a Birmingham Michigan, not but a few miles from my
home. ;-) Can you tell us a little bit more about your self? What
kind of wood projects you like to make. how big is your shop?...
Stuff like
that.
You are the first person that I have talked to that own a Shadow. It
looks like you are a trend setter, as well as a ground breaker on
this
topic.
I cant wait to hear all about it.
Thanks for letting us know.
Have a great day.
