Hi Jeff

I have to dis-agree, none are forgotten or neglected . Think positive, they
were all lucky because they got the best tool around at the time and took
advantage of it. I also know that the manual generation are not neglected
just be patient and see what comes along soon, it is not all CNC, Shadow or
doom and gloom!

Regards
Roger

I would consider the owners of the Woodchuck to be the forgotten generation,
the ones with the manual mills to be the neglected generation

Hello Mac

If I remember the story correctly,Andy saw Norm Abrams ( the New Yankee Work
shop) make a jig to mortise the dovetails in a pedestal table , Andy knew
that he could make a better jig. and the Woodchuck was born.Later the Legacy
came along, and now the CNC machines.(each generation gets better, and the
older generations are then forgotten about.)(Guess where we are guys? The
forgotten generation,Out of sight,out of mind...) ;-)

talk to you all latter.

Tim,

Cool - Thanks for sharing. Yes, I recognize the guy in pic as Andy - in his
"younger" years.
Boy, the machine has certainly evolved since then. I sent an email to the
poster of the ad; however, since it was posted 2+ yrs ago, I don't hold much
hope for a reply. Will share it if I get one. I am not interested in
getting it - just curious about it from a Legacy Mill "genealogy"
standpoint.

Here's the 80" optional version, also from the video.

Incase there is any doubt, these are the original machines that Andy offered
as Phantom Engineering.
