The original price was $480 for the version with a digital height scale. I think the one without was $100 less. You also need to buy a different router. They used the PorterCable 7518. I would also see if you can get the upgraded template holder as well. That was $40.
As far as the used market goes, I rarely see one being sold by itself. I'd guess the shipping is going to be by UPS and around 23-30 lbs. About the only question I would ask is if the z-axis is the latest version? The stop was reworked and I believe there was an added amount of z-axis travel on the latest version. Any version would probably be better than the plunge router if you find yourself having to move your table frequently to reach your work. A message posted recently quoted Cindy Anderson as saying the price for a used z-axis was close to $500.
