at last I have posted some pictures of the shadow.as you can see it is
an adapted cnc machine.it is extremely sturdy and as a consequence
very heavy. I have done very little on it since it was delivered by
our Roger due to I'll health but I am becoming fit and well again so I
will do more soon. There is one small 'fault' on the machine and that
is the z axis. The sheer weight of the motor( porter cable) causes the
motor to lower rather rapidly on it's own especially under power.
I am a 68year old semi retired wood machinist-joiner.I have a small
Joinery business in south Birmingham, England.
In my workshop I have a Makita table saw,an over and under planer, a
spindle moulder with power feed.a lathe and of course my legacy
shadow. Oh I forgot my bandsaw and lap sharp.
At the last count I had nine routers and the usual collection of
sanders and drills etc.
