My first pepper mill. l used black walnut ,stock is 2 3/8 in. x 12 1/2 . l used the F gear and standard gears that came with my 900 and 4 starts. Plus a 1 1/2 in. rope moulding. l've made some pens with a1/2 in. rope. This started out as my second experiment , fortunately it turned out well and l used my lathe too. The hardware was 12 in. from Lee Valley. Later or until the next project. Barry
