Now that's pretty neat! I have not seen that one. Thank you . I cant see the Legacy doing anything like that, not with out some major re-designing. Its something to think about though? ;-) Have a good night. I believe this is his improved video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWVa3qYrAtI Harvey On Tue, Sep 25, 2012 at 7:49 PM, curt george <curtgeo...@wowway.com> wrote: Hello Harvey I have also tried that, My Legacy will only get to 48 deg. It wasn't enough for what I was doing, Depending on how long your Legacy is, will determine the deg. you can reach. Legacy's web site has the graphs. 900 is 32 deg, 1200 is 48 , 1800 is 42deg. If you have a motor you could always put it onto the spindle shaft end and spin the bowl on the Legacy free hand, sanding the body down that way. Sanding is much safer way to go,than trying to spin and turn on the lathe. but both methods can be done, if you are skilled enough. If you have that video I would like to see it. that sounds like a pretty Cool jig. Good luck on the project. Please post pictures when its done. After I glue up the rings they need to be sanded or? What I was wondering is it the Legacy can have a bowl mounted to it qo that the router can cut the bowl smooth on the outside. I know that if I had a straight column it would work but the bowl is at an angle. Can the Legacy be lowered enough so that the angle will match the bowl so that the bowl could be rotated as the router movers from the bottom of the bowl to the top? I also have a problem with the inside of the bowl. I have seen videos where the bowl is mounter on a lathe and the inside is cut with a chisel. I saw a video on snare drums where the gettleman built a jig with wheels where the drum was rotated on the wheels as the router on a board was slowly pushed through the inside of the drums. -- -- -- --
