I have a mechanical engineering and machinist background as well as machine tool design and modification including CNC programming and use (although it's been a few years). The point is I'm not too concerned about designing or making the parts I need, but would appreciate all the help I can get understanding the uses and nuances of this machine. With all the experienced and skilled users posting here there appears to be no reason to reinvent the wheel by going it alone.
