I don't think delrin the bushes or the mill itself would handle the fast speeds of a lathe at all, once you put timber in it the increased weight would be too much, legacy's are just not designed to handle such speeds I would defiantly convert to ball bearings even then it would be too fast at lathe speeds perhaps only on the slowest lathe speed but I wouldn't do it that's my opinion and I will try all sorts of crazy ideas. I would either mount a separate motor on the legacy with much slower speeds or lengthen your wood lathe Bill
