Hi guys
First of all both products, the Eliminator Chuck and the Xtreme Xtension, do
the job you need i.e. a quick & frustration free changing of router bits. In my
mind, and through experience of using and owning both, the Xtreme Xtension is
better suited to what we need on a manual Legacy and that is the increased
reach or depth of plunge.

One problem I have seen with the Eliminator Chuck has been it biting into the
cutter shank and therefore making cutter removal a little awkward. Luckily
never seen that on the Xtreme Xtension and I have had less than 0.004% returns
on the product from customers since the products inception. Interestingly any
returns I have just stripped them down, re-assembled them and I have used
myself or sold them to friends for a small fee, well comparatively small.

If you are looking for increased reach or depth of plunge then take a look at
http://www.chipsfly.com/category/RC.html Lewis Steep sells them and has the XL
Quick Chuck which provides a bit more reach than the standard Eliminator.

Finally, I have to admit to having more than a passing interest, not financial,
in the Xtreme Xtension. Bob McFarlin, him of the Router Raizer, originally
designed it for me because at the time Joe Marmo supplier of the Eliminator
Chuck did not offer a version for DeWalt 625, and at that time supply of Porter
Cable products was very hit and miss, thinking about it 10 or 12 years on it
has not changed.

Regards
English Roger

This is the chuck I have used for several years, it will only work with 1/2
inch bits, however you can buy an adapter to allow you to use it with 1/4 inch
bits
http://www.amazon.com/The-Eliminator-Quick-Change-Chuck/dp/B0007OTTJM/ref=sr_1_1?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1381646739&sr=1-1&keywords=router+chuck

This is a newer version, it will add aditional reach and it will fit any 1/2
inch router you would like to use it also comes with the adapter to use the 1/4
inch bits
