Head to tail for no other reason than that's how I was taught from the videos.

  Subject: question

I have a question I was wondering when you all turn spirals do you machine
from the headstock to the tails stock or from the tail stock to the headstock
I have no reason for asking this other than just curiosity
i have done both ways with no problems, but not on the same spiral because of
obvious back lash problems
