Hi Dave
A simple way to get it centred if you have access to a wood lathe or metal for
that matter is to turn a disk the size of the Legacy router mounting plate cut
out and on that same piece of material and on the same centre line turn another
disk to match the inner diameter of your DeWalt black plastic base, I assume it
is a DW 625, and then put one disk into the Legacy router mounting plate cut
out and the other end in the DeWalt plate. Every thing is now centred and all
you have to do is drill the three holes, WARNING make sure DeWalt fits in the
router mounting plate with out fowling any other parts.
This solution is known to work and I still have the template blank in my
workshop as DeWalt 625 and Trend T-9 are very popular in Europe. This was not
my idea but of one of my customers who is now a good friend as he bought enough
product from me, well that’s what he reckons.
Regards
Euro Roger

I don’t have a dewalt plunge router but I do have a triton plunge router

When mounting my routers I use the thin plastic bottom plate of the router
(its usually is only held on by a couple of small screws), as a template to
mark any holes I have to drill in the mill .that way too I can measure all
round to get it centre in the legacy cross slide hole

i have a legacy 600exl and i know it is designed to use the pc router. i have
a new 3hp dewalt with 3 mounting holes. i will probably have to drill some
holes to mount the dewalt router, any suggestions on how to mount it so it is
centered. does anyone have a legacy ornamental mill with a dewalt plunge
router.
