Hello Mac.
At the wood show there was a company called Steel Stamps. www.steelstamps.com
they had a number of custom made branding irons www.bramd-first.com is the web
listing on the backside of there card. (one card for two businesses ) but that
is what really got me thinking about making my own iron.
Have a good evening.

I "Marque" the items I craft. I was brought up that you "signed" your work
(starting with all the homework and tests in school) - and it had better be
well made enough to "deserve" your marque.
Yes, there are some things so small that I don't bother - but for the most
part, I try to put the date and my name and/or company name on whatever I have
a hand in in making. If others are involved (team effort) I encourage all to
sign/place their name on it.
I'd like to have a branding iron - but like others have mentioned, they can get
really pricy. The ones you heat with a propane torch are less expensive than
the ones you plug into 120/220v electricity.
I do like the idea Max stated - permanently affix a shiney new penny of the
year you made it.
Happy Easter & Passover to all!
Mac

Hello Everyone!

Just a short note, and a question for everyone.

First off, I hope everyone has a Happy Easter? (If you are not religious, Just
take it as, Have a Greatest Weekend Possible . I know I will.) ;-)

Now onto the Question.

On your projects how do you mark your works when done? I mean branding irons,
stating who made this product. A marker of some-kind? or date???

Do things like that just don't interest you. or is it not important? What do
you think?

Any Ideas or suggestions. .All input is welcome. Please join in. ;-)
