Not a bad idea! but there are a few things that would have to be looked at before you try something like this. first is, Is the rail thickness appx. the same? The top rails in order to make this work would have to be changed out, So the structor or strength of this rail must be at least conpairable with what the Legacy already has before I would venture on this modification.
