That's an interesting solution. Is the nut a quick move type and the set screws lock it in?

Searching this topic on this site, (thanks to all of you who contribute here) I found some great tips to improve this upgrade. Here's another step I took to give me more control of setting the depth on this upgrade, so far it has worked well. I purchased a used drill press depth rod on e-bay, (ten dollars) installed it in the carriage base, inline with the factory slot opening that held the Legacy knob stop. Then I installed a nut and bolt through the vernier bracket, (two nuts are needed to hold the bolt fast, a jam nut on side of the vernier bracket and a stop nut on the other side), then adjust the length of the bolt so the head of it just clears the drill press depth rod. Here's a couple of pics, hope they come across well. http://s1180.photobucket.com/user/sammyparrot/media/DSC_2860_zpsh9nabaff.jpg.html http://s1180.photobucket.com/user/sammyparrot/media/DSC_2858_zpsjawlp3r9.jpg.html http://s1180.photobucket.com/user/sammyparrot/media/DSC_2856_zpsvzawajl2.jpg.html -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Legacy Ornamental Mills" group.
