Hello Mac
I use paper joints on split turnings quite a bit. but for some reason for
mounting wood on the Legacy,
I like the hot melt glue approach. although having said that, Mike P. has also
recemended to me to try this masking tape/supper glue (CA Glue) idea to me a
while back.
I will be trying this idea out for my self. sometime in the not so off future.

Thanks for all the suggestions, Please keep the ideas coming .
C.A.G.

Does anyone else use plain old white glue and a piece of brown paper grocery
bag (here in the USA) cut to at least the size of the smaller of the two pieces
being temporarily joined? Yes, you have to wait for it to "dry" - but the
wallet is willing to wait in many cases. (Plan ahead.)
Then when it comes time to separate the pieces, place a blade (chisel, knife,
etc.) at the joint and strike with a mallet. The paper is "the weak link".

I really like this idea, here in Australia where I live I can’t always get good
double sided tape but I can get good masking tape and super glue I’m defiantly
trying this one.

I have not used the method described on the link below but plan to in the near
future. I need to buy the supper glue and accelerant.

It is not double sided tape but hopefully a better method.

I just got a manual Legacy 1000xl mill and just started using it, my first
project being a flag display box. I am learning by my mistakes. My question is
what is a good source for the double sided tape used to hold the project in
place while milling it? Does it have to be the foam kind? I got a partial roll
of the foam stuff with the machine, but there is no brand stamp on it so don't
know what kind it is or from where to order it. I've been looking online and
there seems to be different kinds, going from about $7 a roll up to $20. A
suggestion for an online source would be appreciated.

As of today, there are 63 members that have joined since 2010 that have never
