Hi Folks, I'm back. Once again to clarify, If you have posted a single message in your life time with the group, you are not eligible to be deleted. As I have more time to decide a path to proceed with from the input of the group, I've decided that an email will be sent with a 30 day warning of deletion. They will have to either contact myself, Curt, or the group in order to not be deleted. After that, a final warning will be sent and if still no reply, they will be deleted.
The number of members in the group has no bearing on our group to Google. There is a rating based on the number of messages sent and at this time I would guess we still register in the "Low" volume of messages. I did not bother to look. Google stated in their support group that the groups would be eternal, but who can really believe that. In the event of group closure, I'm sure Google will give a short warning and a replacement group option has been set in place. If I'm gone, I feel someone in the group will be able to setup an alternative. This message has only netted one user that is new and wishes not to be deleted. This shows a really poor response any way that you look at it. It's great to see so many older users wishing to stay involved. I'm also left with wandering what all the bystanders would like to learn since they don't feel confident enough to even use the equipment. Is that a safe assessment? Are we looking to learn to start from the planning level and forwards? We can't help if nobody is asking questions guiding this group. -Tim ----- Original Message ----- From: Arkady Paka To: legacy-ornamental-mills@googlegroups.com Sent: Monday, September 05, 2016 11:59 PM Subject: Re: Please don't delete me Please don't delete me Thanks, Arkady. 2016-09-06 5:40 GMT+03:00 Steve Jacobs <s.jacobs0...@gmail.com>: Please do not delete me either. I am working on my second retirement and have a Revo with a rotary table and still have the 900 CNC. I plan on digging in as soon as I can but travels for work keep me from it. I do read all of the posts but do not respond yet as I do not have much experience to add anything. I do enjoy all of the posts here. As mentioned by other members, I have had the benefit of viewing and understanding solutions to issues I didn't realize I had. I do not possess the proficiency and knowledge most of the top posters have, however, that is exactly where I find my inspiration. The Legacy machines are clearly an opportunity to do something no one else can do but there is a learning curve that comes with them. I would never be able to find solutions elsewhere if not for this site. I can attest to the way below rating of Legacy customer service when I've tried contacting them even for a part here and there, simple advice, or just the prospect of perhaps a CNC in the future. Due to that lack of customer service and forgetting me as a loyal customer, they have lost me as a willing purchaser. So, I do rely on this site as it covers nearly everything pertaining to Legacy machine ownership. I would like to sincerely thank all of the contributing posters for their in-depth knowledge and generosity in sharing it with everyone. My postings will probably be filled with more questions than answers but hopefully other members will benefit from them as well.
