You may be right about screen to allow air movement. I guess I will have to
take the screen out of the back sliding door and try that. I hope she doesn’t
get too upset when she sees the screen missing :>) I would say, that making
some kind of roll up device for the screen might work better than plastic.

I like your solution for the Y axis moveable scale.

Hello again.

Good job on your newest video.

I was impressed on the screen when I used it. the chips fell straight down from
the screen, I would guess it like being in a hot air balloon, The air moves
with out any resistance so there is no noise from the air... but in this case
the air goes thought the screen and the dust is not thrown everywhere, it hits
the screen and then falls. The only problem is the way you use it, and if it
gets in the way??? What I found works best for me was to use plastic window
screen, its cheap and if it gets in the way the blades will not be damaged. I
used mine more like a shroud around the router, not like your barriers/plates
you installed between the rails.

Try it for your self. No matter how you use it, I think at the very least you
will have a better view of the project being cut... ;-)

By the way, this is my Y axis movable scale. Not as pretty as yours, but it
works for me. ;-)

Have a good night.

C.A.G.

Curt, thanks for the kind words and the plug. you forgot to tell them to
subscribe?!#? just kidding :>) I haven't thought about screen but I am
concerned about controlling the fine dust also. window shades were mentioned
and I was also thinking about elastic (fitted bed sheet?).

Hello Everyone, I'm sorry if this has been talked about already , but I just
saw Russ's video for the first time, and I thought others with-in our group
would like to see this as well. (I've been away on vacation, and then home
re-modeling and work to do once I got back...IN SHORT, I have not had much free
time to ketch up with you all...)

Nice Job Russ.

When I did my dust guard a few years ago, I made mine out of wire screen, I
found out the screen let the air go through but stopped the chips and dust, I
don't know if you have tried anything like screen or not Russ? It might help
keep the dust down more? but I do very much like your dust bin / trash bin that
really would make clean up much easier.

Keep up the good work, I like your videos!

Thank you.
