Hi Curt
Slight correction regarding your email on the 4X Gear Set, yes it was made for
the 2000 Series but worked on the 900, 1200 & 1800. I say this because I sold a
number of sets to folk with those machines and received no compliants.
Cheers

Hello and Good morning.
Bruce. call Legacy again and this time ask for Cindy, she takes care of the
older Legacy business/ manual machines.
She may be able to help you...
As far as I know the X 4 gear set, was made for the 2000 models. they are extra
heavy gearing. and do need an entirely new frame work to mount and use them.

Having said that, If Legacy can not help you. I know a few different ways to
make what you want.

This is an older topic from our archives, that I made, the X-2,3,4, gear sets.
Perhaps you could make something like this as well?

More latter.

Hello Bruce,

Welcome to The Group.

I went to your website - Very nice.
One "question" I had when on your website was "Where are they located?".
I don't know if that omission was by design or merely an "Ooops!".

Just thought it was worth sharing - because pretty much anytime I interact with
someone that may be making/selling me something, I want to know where they are.
Not necessarily the exact address - but at least the nearest city & state.

I am confident you will get the answers to your request regarding the 4X Gear
Set from one or two folks in The Group.
In fact, I hope that Tim will jump in, not only with the answers but, with an
offer to The Group to take orders from anyone interested in the 4X Gear Set.
Then, if he gets the number of sets to make it worth is time, take orders and
solve our need for the set.
Tim has fabricated a number of pieces for the LOM in the past - and from what I
understand, they are as good as or Better than what Legacy made.

Again, welcome - and we look forward to not only finding out where you are
located, but to seeing projects you produce with your Mill.

Mac

Hello Everyone

I am a new member in this group, thanks for letting me join. My name is Bruce
Wellard, I have been into wood working for over 30 years. I got my first Legacy
900 Mill about 20 years ago.
I have recently purchased a used 1000 EX in excellent condition and would like
to get a 4X gear set to do some larger projects with. I have contacted Phantom
Engineering to see if I could buy this set, they told me they do not supply it
any longer. That said I am going to make them myself, but I need a little help.
I have most of the information I need to do this, just missing a few things. If
any one has a full set, I need some dimensions and photos of the A set gears,
spindle gear and the left and right hand directional gears. The outside
diameter and tooth count will do. Also need pictures of the brackets and the
dimensions of them. Any help on this would greatly appreciated. When I get them
done I will post the results for anyone interested.
Thanks again.
Bruce
