Hello and Good morning everyone.the 800 was replaced by the 900, If you look at the two units, there are just a few differences, .I believe that 800 is slightly smaller? (but I could be wrong.)I do know there are less pitches/ gears that come with this unit.Hopefully Tim will post in on this soon. I know he will have the manual on file. I remember how upset I was when my 1000ex arrived (some 100 yrs ago) ;-p, I I thought I bought a contemplate unit, not a kit the assembly took me hours, luckily there was a VSH tape to go along with the manual. Andrew do you have the videos? the manual setup as long as how to use your machine might still be in the box? I wish you luck. talk to you all more latter. I have to go VOTE before work. Take care! My first woodworking projectwas making a replica of a $3,000 pine TV armoire my wife wanted for our firstChristmas. As a young couple, it may have been $1 million. I made if for about$200 (don't tell her that!)., including the slide door hardware It wasstrong enough to house a 32 inch Sony TV, which I think weighed 450 lbs. :). Westill have it today. From there I built our living room side tables and coffeetable from cherry, raised panel waynes cotting (MDF) for the dining room, awindow seat (birch ply and maple face), and a library/cabinet/TV entertaimentcenter for my basement out of poor man's cherry (poplar). In 2003, I built myoldest daughter's "big girl bed" and drawer set out of maple. Ibought the Legacy 800 soon after hoping to make more creative pieces. But, aslife has it, my wife and I decided to make more babies instead, so I neveropend the boxes for the Legacy 800. Every year, life kept the boxesclosed...unitil yesterday. My wife wants a new kitchen island. I want to makehope chests for my three teenage girls, and I want my ten year old son to learnhow to build things. Afteropening up the parts box of the 800, I noticed this would be quite a project toset up. I searched for assembly directions, and couldn't find them (or theydisintegrated after 15 years). Ifound this group and hoped I could get (1)Assembly instructions for the 800 orsimilar mill (2) experienced help with an older legacy model (3)share my workwith like minded people. Thanksfor reading my intro. I look forward to participating in this group.
