Tim,

You found your mind - it was not lost.  All 3 of the output shafts on the Shopsmith Headstock are 5/8" diameter.

So any lathe accessory that says it is an adapter for, or "fits" Shipsmith, will have to have a 5/8" diameter bore.

You can sleep well - knowing that you have your mind well in hand.
