If its melting, you need to speed up your feed or reduce the depth of cut or reduce the router speed or sharpen your cutting tool. Legacy had a pen video a long time ago showing a one pass cut, bit it was cheating a bit. Super hard wood you can almost get away with it. Bill's right, sneak up on your final cut or you might have a problem taken your next cut because nothing will be left! At least wood is easier than plastic and metal to add too! I also managed through the group to get a copy of the assembly instructions which helped enormously. Are there instructions for the Rotary Table and the Vertical vice available do you know? Thanks to all the advice and help I've had so far - if I hadn't found this group I would still be ages away from actually using the machine.
