In Australia it’s a tradition to give a key to your child when they turn 21 it signifies them becoming an adult and getting a key to the house. My Legacy was made to turn 48", So I made it 60" long. always looking to make bigger things, Over the last year, I started looking at making smaller/finer detail items. more on the Ornamental turning side of things, I started playing with materials that I had not thought of in the past. Things like bone, leather, and horn (to name a few.) I found out that the Legacy can cut these materials very easily, with clean sharp detail that I had not been able to get on my Lathe alone. I have New ideas and concepts that I would like to explore in the future.( this next year) And I am looking forward to sharing and learning, how to get the most out of my Legacy, with our group.
