came across this gentleman and his web site... https://www.jonsauer.com/ … incredible work, incredible design and some very nice equipment... I can see a number of us doing similar work, a bit less complex but on a larger scale, on our Legacy's with the proper mods/accessories... I am still toying with the idea of a rose type accessory for a Legacy, but my machine location and finances have put a temporary hold on that pursuit... but seeing what this person has accomplished is inspiring and motivating... and since doing ornamental work of this nature on a Legacy would be of such a larger scale than what has been done on a Holtzapffel or MADE lathe, I believe it is attainable for a Legacy owner... we just have to make it simpler and not attempt to make it as complex as the older(and newer) ornamental machines... the much larger capacity that our machines can handle will be enough to put the work we could produce, into the "wow" mode, I believe... check out this artisan's web site... a number of things that he produced, is attainable on our Legacy's without any modifications... not suggesting copying, just for inspiration purposes... a Holtzapffel or MADE machine are precision machines built like a fine watch... I might think we would not have to be as precise as those are... when you go from a piece that might be 1" in diameter by 6" long, to a piece that is 8" in diameter by 16" long, the refinements of what the machine can do decreases... just some random thoughts this day as I was surfing the net and thinking what might be the next phase in using the Legacy...
