Sharper cutters and slower rpm helps that too when I do the big 4tpi threads
I’m running the router on its slowest speed and a very very slow feed rate

Chipping is a much more of a problem than burning lots of thin ca glue helps
too it also might help you on the rosettes as well, paint them with ca just
before a last 10 thou finishing cut. If you don’t intend to ever coat your
threaded project with anything but an oil before you finish the thread submerge
it in a wood oil in a pressure pot over night to saturate the wood with oil it
should really help with woods that chip bad but I like a bit of a polish so I
don’t do that.

Well I sure hope all this info is archived in someone's locker some where. I'd
like to see a lot of the past stuff. I also want to start a post about raising
and lowering the Z access with either the hand wheel or motor. But effective
enough to get out of cut before it burns

I have a dumb question but did you make some of

your shafts longer to accomidate those sprokets or

is there enough space to accomidate them?

Looking through my legacy stuff on my computer and I found this page of mine on
using a chain and sprockets on the mill to cut fine pitches or threads if you
use the 60 degree router bit. Now this was for me only so sorry if its not all
that clear to follow but I thought I might share, one or 2 of you guys might
like it I added a few pics to help. This was pre fire so no more info sorry.
