Hello Everyone, This Mustique wood is beautiful ! I find its a lot of fun to cut, and smells GREAT, ;-) I did some checkering on One. (Diamond pattern, second one on the left.) on the Legacy. For those who did not read my posting on Kingsford Mustique logs, I bout a bag at Home Depot, in the Barbeque isle. (under $20.00) a few weeks ago. For the price I think its a good deal. Perhaps its not the best wood out there, but its a wood that under normal times It would not be a wood that I normally use. For small projects this is GREAT Wood to play around with. It cuts well by hand, or router (that is on the wood lathe and Legacy.) The checkering is a 4 starts, 4.5" pitch, One right handed cut and then switching the directional gear to a left handed direction. What was really Kool here, is My Math worked out exactly as I had planed. My starts and stops are in the exact alignment with each other, making the cuts easer (and quicker) then what is the norm. for me. In the photos, the two on the right I did last week, and the two on the Left I did today.
