Curtis,

Thanks.  (As Bill correctly suggests - I changed Subj line to reflect Paper
Scroll Cut/Ribbon Twist.)
The article you had attached onto this posting is The Article about Carl
Tourigny making the "Paper Scroll Cut".
I did note that Phantom Engineering called this cut a "ribbon twist in their
side note.
If I recall correctly, there is also a "Ribbon Twist" cut  - that looks
differently than this "paper scroll cut/ribbon twist.  But I can't find any
photo or drawing of it.

Hello Mac.

On my first posting on this I added the scroll cut to my posting. If Im not
wrong the paper scroll cut is the ribbon twist I posted  (I will try again.)
There are still a lot of Legacy and Phantom, early articles that Do not have on
file. as well as some of there builders (VHS) video series,  That I am always
on the lookout for.

Curtis,

Thanks you for digging that one out and sharing it!
Towards the end of the article - they mention that the next month's article
will feature the "Paper Scroll Cut".
Do you happen to have that write-up as well?  I;m curious as to what that one
looks like.

Have a Super Sunday!
Mac

Here is the Woodchuck Manual link from the Legacy site. I took a quick browse
but I did not see that feature.

Well first attempt at a square spiral I started out 2inch pitch 2inch bit
single start but the mill had other ideas lol it was in fact a 4 start 8 inch
pitch go figger lol I almost got it but the angle didn’t want to play ball
either I drawed it out on paper mathed it out but the angle wouldn’t be in it
either  I had to do a trial and error method I got it almost perfect but I had
a dig in and I think it moved a few degrees
So it doesn’t quite line up. This is defiantly a learning curve square spirals
are totally different from making round ones I sure wish I had a woodchuck
manual with instructions in it on square spiral making to refer to.

The ratio of the pitch to the angle you set the roatry table is a night mare
