You are right Mike. with the pointer and the harts, but My biff with this is
the gear is It slips badly when reversing the gears (Large gear on the acme
screw.) for speed of rotation, when large gear is on the headstock there is not
problems, although the screws leave bad scratches on the gear. They could have
made something better.
If I am going to use these gears in this way/method, I will have to make a
better mounting plate for this gear.
Despite a few flaws with this machine, I feel like a Kid at Christmas time.

fit into the heart holes. Then the pointer on the top will point to the center
