In my opinion the main reason Evolution Mill didn’t sell was there was no
extras for it and none of the regular ones fitted it

accept for the 2x and .25 gear sets. I know that was the reason I went with the
revo over the Evolution Mill

and I was not a fan of a plastic gear linkage .

but those linier rails would have been great for template copying work if the
Evolution had that capability.

I would like to know if it came with a user manual and if it did I sure would
like a copy of it to see what that mill can do

Hello Dan.

The Legacy history page that Tim sent is a good source of information.

Your REVO is one neat machine! In many ways it is a better machine then the
other Legacy Ornamental mills Legacy made before.

I was really shocked when Legacy discontinued it, (I was so sure that Legacy
was going to continue making the REVO, Even though they told us that they were
going to stop making the manual machines .)

NOW The Evolution mill, Was Legacy's last attempt in the manual line of
machine.

(I personally do not think Legacy made a lot of them)

I only know of two people in our group who own one. (and one of them I have not
heard form in a number of years now.)

I see the Evolution Mill , in the same light as the Ford's Edsel. ( way a
head of its time, but it did not sell well, And was quickly discontinued . )
The Evolution mill had linear rail, ball bearing headstock and acme screw
movement, It had a multi directional movement in the Z axis. All steel frame.

The only down side was, the size. (if it could handle the same size, as my
1000ex dose. I would have bought one.)

Since you Own a REVO. Do you have a motor control on your machine?

I see several messages about an "Evolution" Legacy Mill. I own what the manual
calls a "REVO" legacy mill, which the fine print spells out as short for "...a
revolutionary new design."

So am I missing something here?
