They don’t look discoloured on the ends to have been heated enough to melt lead but who knows

Then because of the plane of the flat surface compared to the handle, I would think there would be too many areas on a saddle the presser would not be able to reach. That settles me square into book binding press and polisher. Now you know how my brain works, see if google agrees.
