They don’t look discoloured on the ends to have been heated enough to melt lead
but who knows

It is a mystery

I agree with being heated but these look like a fancier version of the old
school soldering irons use to make leaded stained glass windows. A possibility……

My two cents

I couldn't help myself. My first impression was there was enough metal there
to be heated and the multiple in the set would mean the others could stay on
the heat until needed. That way continuous use could be accomplished. So the
application was next. I figured that the shape would lend nicely to a seam.
So I figured veneer or leather. Then looking at the tools in the picture, I
realized that there wasn't any debris or staining anywhere so I figured not a
glue application. So my next thought was a leather burnishing iron. My first
application that came to mind was leather like a saddle or in the old book
binding. Then because of the plane of the flat surface compared to the handle,
I would think there would be too many areas on a saddle the presser would not
be able to reach. That settles me square into book binding press and polisher.
Now you know how my brain works, see if google agrees.

There is a way to search for images on Google. https://images.google.com

Searching for the image (which looks like a modern staple remover to me, but
I'm sure it isn't. Why would you need more than one? Anyway, here is the search
result:
