Welcome to the Group. I will approve your request right after I sign off with you in this Welcome aboard message.
The Legacy Ornamental Mills users group was made to help owners of the LOM to get the most out of their milling machines as possible. "Why should I have to make all those mistakes myself" was the main question asked by many owners. The answer to the big question here is to share information with others whom are like yourself. For those who want to learn and become the best woodworkers possible, the Legacy Ornamental Mill (LOM) is a very good machine, but there is a slight learning curve that need to be understood before you can master the machine. Its like me giving you a paint brush and asking you to paint me a master piece on canvas. just because you have all the parts needed does not make you a master! ;-)
We have over 500 members today, most are willing to share a helping hand to others who are in need. This is mainly an e-mail group. (Yes the web site works, but the system was set up to link our messages together through our E-mails, Pictures can be attached, and quicker reply's can be done through the e-mail.)
Tim and I have a standing policy that there is no such thing as a dumb question, except perhaps the one not asked? For those that are not comfortable asking questions to a group, you can e-mail Tim or me. curt.geo...@yahoo.com or Tim's, artmarb...@comcast.net at any time and ask your questions in complete privacy. If we do not know the answers you ask, we can/will send them to the group under our names so know one will know where the question came form.
Please feel free to search our archives. I know you will find a wealth of information at your disposal.
One more note, I ask everyone to make a short introduction to the group. I think of it as an ice breaker so everyone can get to know a little bit about you. Something simple, name, types of woodworking you like to do, perhaps equipment you own? How long you have been wood working, stuff like that.
I hope to be talking to you very soon on the group page.
Have a good night.
