Good Morning Tim P. ,

When you are ready, I would like to come and visit.  I live off Big Bend and 301.  I have a 900 and a Wood Chuck but I have been so busy I have not been able to use it.  I am hands on type of learner, so maybe you can show me what you know.  God Speed today wishing you a speedy recovery.

Thanks.  I look forward to being a contributor.  For a while I will be kind of quiet.  Getting a new heart valve installed tomorrow.  What fun!

Hello again Tim.

(I am forwarding this e-mail to the group. So they too can get to know you.)

If you need, I have the taps to make/replace the split nuts, just in case your daughter has any problems making them for you.

The Group has more then a few really good people in it.  If and when you run into any problems just ask and I know someone in the group will know how to fix the problem you may be running into.

We need all kinds of people in our group. Not just the masters, We need people to ask question as well, many people will not step up and offer ideas, but will answer if a question is asked and they know the answer being asked. We also need the "Dreamers" (those people who are always looking for the "What IF's" And "How can I do that, type of person.

Again Welcome to the group.
I am looking forward to knowing you more.
Have a good day.

Hi Curt

I look forward to being a part of this group.  I live in a 55+ community with a really nice woodworking shop. I have been a machinist for my career and just began woodworking a few months ago.  We have a Legacy model 900 in the shop and I have been learning to use it, so far a few sets of table legs.

I have to mention that I owned (2nd generation) and large machine shop which is now being operated by my daughter.  She is going to have a small run of the half nuts made for me, as the ones in our machine are very worn.  This is definitely something I would be happy to offer to interested folks.

Thanks Tim

Welcome to the Group. I will approve your request right after I sign off with you in this Welcome aboard message.

The Legacy Ornamental Mills users group was made to help owners of the LOM to get the most out of their milling machines as possible.  "Why should I have to make all those mistakes myself" was the main question asked by many owners.  The answer to the big question here is to share information with others whom are like yourself.  For those who want to learn and become the best woodworkers possible, the Legacy Ornamental Mill (LOM) is a very good machine, but there is a slight learning curve that need to be understood before you can master the machine. Its like me giving you a paint brush and asking you to paint me a master piece on canvas. just because you have all the parts needed does not make you a master! ;-)

We have over 500 members today, most are willing to share a helping hand to others who are in need.  This is mainly an e-mail group. (Yes the web site works, but the system was set up to link our messages together through our E-mails, Pictures can be attached, and quicker reply's can be done through the e-mail.)

Tim and I have a standing policy that there is no such thing as a dumb question, except perhaps the one not asked?  For those that are not comfortable asking questions to a group, you can e-mail Tim or me. curt.geo...@yahoo.com or Tim's,  artmarb...@comcast.net at any time and ask your questions in complete privacy. If we do not know the answers you ask, we can/will send them to the group under our names so know one will know where the question came form.

Please feel free to search our archives. I know you will find a wealth  of information at your disposal.

One more note, I ask everyone to make a short introduction to the group. I think of it as an ice breaker so everyone can get to know a little bit about you.  Something simple, name, types of woodworking you like to do, perhaps equipment you own? How long you have been wood working, stuff like that.

I hope to be talking to you very soon on the group page.

Have a good night.
