Yes I am. Its been a fun day, Pretty low key, but... Its family. ;-)
Another good thing is We have AC working. IT's HOT outside. The temps came
close to 100 deg. F. today.Me working the barbeque grill, thank goodness there
is a breeze, Making it much more barrable.Now that dinner is out of the way, I
hope to get back into the shop and spend some more family time working with my
youngest mill. ;-)I want to play around with this new Geometric slide rest
idea. I found out today that one of my cam's gets trapped under the bearing
when running backwards. So at this time I can not use this cam. with the setup
as it is. I find it funny that the simplest cams work the best.

Hello Everyone. Happy Independence day everyone.
My wife tells me that I have to spend more time with the family today, so this
will be the only turning that I will do today. (maybe???) ;-).
I used my 200 and a template to make this, using a diamond grinder blade for
most of this handle.
once the shape was roughed out, I put the Geometric shape jig (I still do not
have a real name for this jig.) that I have been working on to add the detailed
wave design. The wave was done with an oval the gear/pitch on the legacy was
the "D" gear.
My celebrating the best way I know how.
