Hello everyone.

I just got 1/2 way done tonight.

This Hole saw popper works like a champ. only a few disks got stuck badly,

most came out quick and easy. Little over an hour to cut everything out.

Here are a few pix. appx 200 disks were cut out tonight. Tomorrow I will true

them up and start soaking in Hydrogen peroxide .

Good morning everyone.

Tim these poppers are pretty simple, What I did was to go to the web site and
photo copied a photo of the arms, then I used the basic shape for what I made,
The only trick is to make the push part small enough to fit through the slots
you made and to make sure you have enough push/contact with appx. 1/2 of the
plug being cut.

For my bone disks the original (factory made) would be to big for the small
diamond hole saw's that I use.

I will let you all know more when I start working on the disks that I started
cutting last Monday.

More INFO. latter.

Have a good day .

Wow Curt looks pretty straight forward. I cant wait to try in when I cut my
next batch of Bone discs.

sure will beat the current method of getting the discs free.

Nice find. I think you might want to trace one and post the pattern.

Does it seem to be consistent or will it need a notch to make sure it catches
every time?

Hello Everyone.

This is NOT my idea, but one that I copied for this web site.

https://vsctools.com/shop/the-plug-popper/

I made a set for myself today, and This is a very real game changer for me.

this popper idea works so very well for my bone turning, in the past the
cutting out the disks final stages is the slowest part of the bone process.

Step #1 to cut the disk shape and to face off the disk is quick and easy.

Step#2 cutting out the disk form the bone takes time, mainly due to the bone
disk getting jammed into the hole saw that I am using to cu the disk out with.

Step#3 trueing up the bone is dusty but very simple to do.

(I've covered all the steps a number of times in my posting here as well as
the videos that I've made.)

But this popper idea works so easy. (Just like the videos on the web site.)

Now how I made this set.

First, You need two slots in the hole saw to make this work. And the hole saw's
that I am using only have one hole in them. So the first step was to cut out
another hole slot. This was an easy job to do. I put the hole-saw in the vice
under my drill press, and drilled two holes through the already made slot. The
using a drill bit the same size as the slot I am making, I drilled out the
holes again. With just a little filing I was able to make a slot in the other
side of the hole-saw.

Now the poppers, two pieces of metal 4.5" long and 3/4" wide,1/8 thick.

with just a few min. with my grinder I was able to copy the design shown on the
web site.

My testing. I drilled out a number of disks very quickly, not caring about the
jam that would most likely be caused . (I wanted them to get stuck!) After the
disk was cut out, I stopped the drill-press. and used the poppers. like using a
wine bottle stopper these popper arms popped the disks out like there was not
problems. It was a very fast process. (and so much easer then what I was doing
in the past.)

Here are two photos. I have a lot more testing to do on these. but I am so very
excited about this new toy.

Check it out, and try it for your self!

talk to you all more latter.

Have a good night.
