There are so many styles for machines I bought a laser Sheave Alignment System branded as Johnson made by lasertoolsco.com in little rock Arkansas and it was very badly machined on the inside (like 40 grit finish), and the switch was a solid piece of brass twist to contact 2 AA batteries. I would not recommend the AR manufacturer for laser.. Germany or Taiwan seems to be better at laser.. Sorry I just wanted to share, I know it's not answering your question.
