Today I put the Oval jig together and it worked! but ... Sadly there was a
small problem.
So its now been taken apart again and I'm waiting for some parts to come in.
The problem was the size. My table is 15" with no room for error between the
rails.With the oval table working, the table off set was more then what I had.
So it worked but noton the Legacy. (today.)
Here are a few photo's.
Close but No Cigar .What's happening here is .We are using a planetary gear
system. The center gear is free floating and dose not move, even when the table
turns. the second gear/planate gear, rotates around the sun gear. With this
rotation the movement of the table is 2" off set. (as it is now.) the goal
(long term.) is the planetary gear index will be adjustable so latter I will be
able to make different sized ovals, the table will still rotate inside the
Legacy's reals. will stay within the round wooden table of the machine. Todays
test was a step in the right direction.
