Holy Cow!!!
And I look at one of the upper end Leigh Dovetail Jigs and think:
"Wow! There is WAY TOO MUCH to learn to get my money's worth if I were to buy
this jig!"

By comparison, the Leigh's would be a very short "short story" compared to a
book - like the complete, unabridged Webster's Dictionary!!
It would take a study effort at the level of getting a college PhD to just
begin to get creative with all that Steve J. has here.

Steve,
Did you "earn" a PhD with this marvelous machine?

Mac

Steve Johnson has a Holtzapffel lathe, #1741 he is looking to sell. he
describes it as:

Not much is known of the history of this lathe, but it is one of the best
equipped Holtz's still in existence, with a full height Cuban Mahogany cabinet
equipped with fitted shelves for a wide variety of chucks and hand tools, and
an under-cabinet of several drawers with the doors hung with Holtz turning
tools. The lathe has riser blocks to allow for larger turnings than normal, and
the bed is slightly longer than usual. There are also some Cuban Mahagony
toolchest under the lathe (in the pictures) containing even more Holtz
accessories, if I remember correctly a rose engine chuck, goniostat, and I
forget the others.

Steve is asking $80,000.

The machine is located in Redmond, WA. Transport or pick up at buyer expense.
I can recommend local crating and freight companies if needed. Steve Johnson,
