Hey Susan - I've noticed that GMAIL is putting a few threads now and then into Spam too. It NEVER put any in spam before the change.... yet most go through to my Legacy label with no problems.
I select them and say "Not Spam" - I'm kind of hoping that GMAIL learns stuff.
