I recently imported a rather large FTM gedcom into Legacy and haven't had
too many problems, of which I am aware.
There is an option, and I don't recall right now what it is, but FTM fields
with data, that don't seem to fit into a corresponding Legacy field, can be
imported into the General Notes field for each individual.
About the only thing that I "lost" was my extensive research journal, but
Legacy is so far and above FTM, it doesn't matter. I can do back to FTM and
look at the journal if I need to.

This is probably a question for Support. I think FTM has a tag in Gedcom
that does not import well into Legacy.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Gedcoms in Family Tree Maker
Hi all. I'm new to Legacy. I'm ghost writing a family history and one
of my clients will be sending me a gedcom of her family tree created
in Family Tree Maker. Is there anything I should watch out for or tell
her to do before sending it? Any glitches you've encountered when
importing from FTM?
