Date: Wed, 9 Aug 2006 07:58:37 -0700 Arnold, The soon-to-be-released training video, "Picturing your Legacy: a Video Guide to Working with Digital Pictures in Legacy" explains these situations in detail. Basically there are 2 rules when digitizing pictures/documents: 1) scan at a higher resolution, which it seems that you are and 2) save as an archival-type image format. This would include .tif and .bmp. I wouldn't suggest .gifs if you're wanting to retail all the image data. The following training CDs will be available hopefully early next week: - Picturing your Legacy: a Video Guide to Working with Digital Pictures in Legacy - Creating and Sharing Perfect Reports - Insider's Guide to Legacy: Tips & Tricks Thanks, Geoff Rasmussen Millennia Corporation [EMAIL PROTECTED] www.LegacyFamilyTree.com Legacy User Group guidelines can be found at: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp To find past messages, please go to our searchable archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyfamilytree.com/ For online technical support, please visit http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe please visit: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp Legacy User Group guidelines can be found at: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp To find past messages, please go to our searchable archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyfamilytree.com/ For online technical support, please visit http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe please visit: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp
